Eyebrow

Wood trim off, navy vinyl stripe on

The “eyebrow” is that strip of 35 year old wood along the cabin top. It looks fine from a distance but it was crumbling up close. Time to remove it, patch the holes, replace with a navy vinyl stripe, and never have to maintain it again

03 · Water tanks and galley

Fresh water

Clean tanks, level sensors, UV-filtered galley water

Microwave

Propane water heater out, microwave in

This cabinet held a propane water heater that wasn’t marine safe. With an inverter on board, the space could take a microwave instead. A plywood floor fills the hole the heater sat in, varnished four coats, with a new cabinet door to match.

Swim platform on the transom

The platform’s bolts landed right where the autopilot’s linear drive block sits inside, so I had to build a custom mount to work around it. Then epoxy-fill every hole I drilled.
